Latency, often referred to as "ping", is the measure of time it takes for data to travel from your device to a server and back. Lower latency is better, especially for real-time activities like gaming, video calls, or trading.
What is a good latency?
- < 30 ms: Excellent. Ideal for competitive gaming.
- 30 - 100 ms: Good. Suitable for most online activities.
- 100 - 150 ms: Fair. Web browsing is fine, but lag might be noticeable in games.
- > 150 ms: Poor. Likely to experience delays and buffering.
